Man and the baby

During my stay at the gypsy camp, I entered many houses built of cardboard and plastic. In this one, there was a man with severely injured leg. He couldn’t walk and was feared of amputation. He was laying on the bed with his baby and I took only two pictures. Fortunately, he recovered completely after a few weeks. Taken with Ilford HP5+ film.

Bathtub fish

This one was funny to make. In the bathtub I’ve put an empty fish tank with 35mm camera and got a super-waterproof case. Once I filled the bathtub with water, I played with a little wind-up fish toy and took some pictures. Ilford FP4+ film.

Joint wall

Done years ago, this one was inspired by graffiti on the wall. Translated on English, it says “Isabelle smoked a hash here”. The girl on the photo was my girlfriend in that time, now wife. Though she didn’t smoke real joint there, it was pretty claustrophobic. Taken with Ilford HP5+ film.

Gypsy kids

Long ago, I was taking pictures of gypsies in their camp. It was full of children and they just loved to get photographed! This one is my favourite in the series. Her eyes are very emotional. Taken with Ilford FP4+ film.
